About the Role
Early Media is seeking an experienced Senior iOS Developer to lead the development of our mobile applications, particularly for the Twist App. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in iOS development, understand the app lifecycle from development to deployment, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with other engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Own the native iOS app for Twist, from first commit to App Store approval.
- Own the future embeddable SDK for integration into other apps.
- Manage App Store submissions, reviews, onboarding, rejections, and resubmissions.
- Make performance and UX decisions for an audience that is almost entirely mobile-first.
- Make the call on what gets built, cut, or deferred to keep the app moving.
Requirements
- Unbothered by pressure.
- Shipped at least a couple of iOS apps that real users downloaded (freelance counts).
- Strong Swift and Xcode chops, and genuine fluency with the App Store submission process.
- Owned an app through its full lifecycle (build, test, ship, maintain).
- Comfortable making product calls with incomplete specs.
- Able to work solo for long stretches without losing momentum or waiting on directions.
