About the Role
Mason AI is seeking a Founding AI Engineer to optimize multimodal AI agents for blueprint analysis, focusing on improving accuracy and safety in the built environment. This role offers a significant impact on the product, company, and national construction acceleration.
Responsibilities
- Improve the accuracy of multimodal agents that check blueprints for building code compliance.
- Build autoresearch, improve evals, and run sweeps on new experimental features.
- Direct research efforts based on developing research taste.
- Talk to users and dogfood the product weekly.
- Wear multiple hats, including running computer vision experiments, lightweight data engineering, building internal tooling, and improving the webapp.
Requirements
- Be a Software Engineer passionate about growing as an ML/AI Engineer, or an ML Engineer who is fast at prototyping.
- Ability to run experiments quickly and develop research taste.
- Mission-oriented with a desire to find meaningful, long-term work.
- Care about America's ability to build.
- Exhibit ownership and comfort with ambiguity and self-unblocking.
- Possess the curiosity to digest building codes and architectural diagrams.
