About the Role
As a Part-Time Evening Center Floater, you will ensure the well-being and development of children, support progressive learning, and engage children through positive interactions and play. You will also supervise children, adhere to safety protocols, and support classroom transitions during the afternoon and evening.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the well-being and development of infant, toddler, and preschool-aged children
- Support progressive, inquiry-based learning
- Engage with and enrich children using positive language, loving care, and interactive play
- Closely supervise children and adhere to robust health and safety protocols
- Support classrooms during the afternoon and evening transition, helping create a smooth end-of-day experience for children, families, and teachers
Requirements
- Available to work Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM–7:00 PM
- Flexible and communicative team player passionate about working with the youngest learners
- 1–2 years of professional experience working with children ages 0–5
- Value and build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Already or willing to become CPR and First Aid certified
- Fully vaccinated against COVID
- Based in or willing to relocate to New York
- Possess independent U.S. work authorization
- Able to perform physical demands including sitting/standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
