About the Role

We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to expand our mental health and wellbeing portfolio. This hunter role involves owning the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, to secure new clients for our EAP, psychosocial risk, and digital wellbeing solutions. It is ideal for a consultative salesperson passionate about mental health and eager to build new business.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close new customers across the Mental Health & Wellbeing portfolio, meeting individual revenue targets.
  • Build pipeline through outbound outreach, networking, events, and referrals.
  • Engage with HR, health & safety, and wellbeing leaders.
  • Understand organizational challenges and articulate the value of tech-enabled, human-centered solutions.
  • Manage proposals, support tenders (RFPs/RFQs), and pricing, collaborating with internal experts.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with marketing, clinical, account management, and product teams.
  • Act as a credible and professional brand ambassador for Assure and APM.
  • Partner with the Sales Development Representative to build and qualify pipeline.
  • Engage with inbound leads, qualify opportunities, and convert interest into meetings and proposals.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven B2B business development/sales experience, ideally in wellbeing, health, SaaS, EAP, professional services, or a related field.
  • Track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Genuine passion for mental health and wellbeing.
  • Strong hunting and consultative selling skills.
  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles, tenders, and pricing/commercial negotiations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and organized.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and a disciplined, pipeline-driven approach.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings.
