About the Role
BMI is seeking a hands-on Deployment & DevOps Engineer to manage the deployment, integration, and operation of wireless and software solutions. The role requires expertise in Kubernetes, Linux, and CI/CD, with strong troubleshooting abilities and effective communication with customers and internal teams. Telecom or wireless experience is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and maintain software platforms in customer and internal environments.
- Utilize Kubernetes/K3s, Docker, and Helm for application deployment and upgrades.
- Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines, primarily using GitHub Actions.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues across Linux, containers, networking, and applications.
- Support on-premise edge/server deployments.
- Collaborate closely with software, networking, and hardware development teams.
- Coordinate with customers during installation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting phases.
- Develop clear deployment procedures and technical documentation.
- Automate routine deployment and operational tasks.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, deployment, system integration, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/K3s, Docker, and Helm.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Solid understanding of IP networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, routing, firewalls).
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working directly with customers.
