About the Role

Toy Joy is a unique retail store founded in 1987, specializing in collectibles, Japanese toys, nostalgic toys, plush, figures, books, and more for all ages. We encourage creative thinking and a playful spirit, aiming to provide a harmonious and safe environment for both employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greeting each person individually.
• Maintain a presentable and clean store environment.
• Continuously restock merchandise.
• Check in and merchandise product as assigned.
• Maintain safety standards and health codes, keeping walkways clear.
• Have fun and be joyful.

Requirements

• Sales experience in a retail or food service environment.
• Love and knowledge of toys, books, games, collectibles, and candy.
• Artistic skills, merchandising, and creativity are a plus.
• Possess a cheery and positive disposition.
• Work and communicate well with all staff.
• Uphold respect for yourself, fellow co-workers, and customers.
• Be able to lift and maneuver fixtures and product as necessary.
• Spend the majority of an 8-hour shift on your feet.
• Must be able to work 24-28 hours per week, 3-4 days per week.
• Flexible availability is a must, as scheduled hours may change weekly and will include a mix of opening/closing shifts between 10 am and 11 pm.
