About the Role
Navan is seeking an Internal AI Innovation Lead to foster an AI-first mindset across the workforce. This role combines AI expertise with product management to build internal AI environments, communities, and educational frameworks, empowering departments to create AI proof-of-concept solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage internal AI platforms, tools, and sandboxes as products, ensuring high adoption, strong guardrails, and continuous improvements.
- Design and implement accessible, high-impact training programs, workshops, and resource hubs to upskill teams in AI adoption.
- Partner with business units to identify opportunities and assist in building, testing, and launching AI proof-of-concept prototypes.
- Build and energize a cross-departmental community of AI advocates and mentor them to design AI solutions independently.
- Evaluate emerging AI tools and trends, demonstrating practical applications for embedding AI into daily operations.
Requirements
- Exceptional hands-on fluency with modern AI tools, GenAI platforms, custom agents, and prompt engineering.
- Ability to spot opportunities for AI automation.
- Comfort using low-code/no-code AI builders, platform features, or lightweight tools for rapid POC development and validation.
- Experience treating internal platforms or programs as products, using feedback, iteration, and adoption metrics.
- Strong track record of designing engaging training and building active employee communities.
- Ability to teach non-technical teams how to build with new technology.
- Excellent storytelling, facilitation, and communication skills to motivate employees and embed an AI-first culture.
