About the Role

As a Senior Associate, Security & Defense, you will play a key role in close collaboration with our ecosystem in the areas of cybersecurity as well as internal and external security.

Responsibilities

• Further development of the GovTech ecosystem with regard to relevant stakeholders; expansion and maintenance of strategic partnerships with ministries, authorities, startups, and industry.
• Central point of contact for supporting members as well as ministries and authorities in the area of Security & Defense; representation of GovTech Deutschland at industry associations, NGOs, and foundations.
• Continuous monitoring of technology trends and innovation potentials in the area of Security & Defense; translation of relevant findings into usable formats for supporting members as well as ministries and authorities.
• Planning and execution of relevant formats for and with supporting members as well as administrative employees from federal, state, and local governments – e.g., regular security meetups, GovTech briefings, GovTech cases, or learning formats; further development of existing formats.
• Identification of needs for product and platform solutions from public actors (e.g., security authorities, Bundeswehr, administration); initiation and support of product developments and platform projects in close coordination with the GovTech Platforms Team.

Requirements

• Excellent university degree, ideally in a relevant field (at least Bachelor's).
• 3-4 years of professional experience in building and managing ecosystems, preferably in a technology-oriented environment or in the public sector, ideally with a focus on cybersecurity or internal and external security.
• Basic knowledge of key technology topics such as AI, data, cloud, and platform solutions, as well as an interest in the digital transformation of state and administration.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills towards diverse stakeholders, including administration, the technology scene, and research.
• Experience in building and maintaining networks and partnerships.
• A team player with a willingness to collaborate across topics.
• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
