About the Role
Join our team to support financial service providers in diverse trade finance projects. We develop concepts for IT transformations, optimize business processes, and shape the future of international trade finance with new technologies and strategies.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on the strategic and operational development of their trade finance activities.
- Develop technical and functional solutions for complex challenges in trade finance, such as documentary business, guarantees, or supply chain finance structuring.
- Capture and document requirements from all stakeholders along the value chain.
- Contribute to strategy projects, process optimizations, and the conception of industry-specific solutions, e.g., in the context of regulatory requirements (BAIT, ESG, Basel IV).
- Implement new digital processes and platforms, e.g., for automating trade finance workflows or integrating distributed ledger technologies.
- Drive new topics forward, e.g., through collaboration with FinTechs, platform providers, or the Deloitte Trade Finance Innovation Hub.
Requirements
- Completed studies in business administration, business informatics, or a comparable field.
- Sound experience in trade finance, e.g., documentary business, guarantees, forfaiting, supply chain finance, or ESG-related financing solutions.
- Familiarity with relevant trade finance systems and platforms (e.g., Surecomp DOKA, Finastra Fusion Trade Innovation, China Systems Eximbills, SAP Trade Finance).
- Proficient use of MS Office.
- Understanding of international standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ICC guidelines, SWIFT MT/MX, compliance requirements).
- Independent and agile working style.
- Analytical thinking.
- High enthusiasm for new technologies and innovations.
- Strong communication skills in German and English (very good written and spoken).
- Strong ability to identify and critically evaluate AI potentials and use them for innovative solutions, well-founded recommendations, and measurable customer benefits.
