About the Role

Clean Scapes is seeking an experienced Irrigation Repair Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial landscape irrigation systems. This is a hands-on field position responsible for diagnosing irrigation problems and completing necessary repairs to keep systems operating properly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose leaks, pressure problems, coverage issues, electrical problems, controller issues, and other irrigation system deficiencies.
  • Repair and replace valves, sprinkler heads, nozzles, piping, fittings, wiring, and other irrigation system components.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, program, and adjust irrigation controllers to ensure proper system operation and scheduling.
  • Identify the source of irrigation leaks or system failures and complete appropriate repairs.
  • Diagnose basic irrigation electrical issues involving controllers, valves, solenoids, wiring, and related components.
  • Adjust sprinkler heads, nozzles, coverage, pressure, and system settings to improve irrigation performance and efficiency.
  • Test systems following repairs to confirm proper operation and ensure the original issue has been resolved.
  • Accurately document identified issues, repairs completed, materials used, and any additional recommended work.
  • Perform routine irrigation maintenance and identify potential problems before they result in larger system failures.
  • Communicate repair needs, completed work, and additional recommendations to supervisors, team members, and clients when appropriate.
  • Properly maintain tools and equipment and follow all company safety procedures while working in the field.

Requirements

  • Previous professional experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing landscape irrigation systems required.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of commercial irrigation systems.
  • Experience repairing valves, sprinkler heads, piping, controllers, wiring, and other irrigation components.
  • Ability to independently diagnose irrigation problems and determine appropriate repairs.
  • Experience troubleshooting irrigation controllers and basic electrical components.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately document completed repairs and additional repair needs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including Texas heat and cold.
  • Ability to walk commercial properties and job sites for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and work at ground level while troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and irrigation equipment.
  • Comfortable performing physical labor, including digging and accessing underground irrigation components.
  • Ability to safely work around active commercial landscaping operations and outdoor job-site conditions.
