About the Role

The Fifth Avenue Hotel is seeking a Butler to join the opening team for its 153-room hotel, offering a blend of personal service, design, cuisine, art, and cultural experiences. As a Butler, you will provide personalized and anticipatory service to guests, ensuring a seamless and extraordinary experience by catering to their unique needs and preferences.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment where guests can experience the hotel as a flaneur, with curated details that tell a story.
• Ensure a five-star luxury level of service and hospitality.
• Welcome guests upon arrival, assist with check-in, and escort them to their accommodations.
• Offer a personal orientation of the room and hotel facilities.
• Provide in-room services including unpacking/packing luggage, arranging personal items, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Perform services such as shoe shining, amenity delivery, room inspections, and morning wake-up experiences.
• Assist guests with personal requests like shopping, appointments, transportation, and special occasion planning.
• Collaborate with the Concierge team to arrange reservations.
• Answer phone calls, respond to emails, texts, and handle guest requests through various communication channels.
• Handle guest concerns and special requests promptly and effectively, taking ownership of issue resolution.
• Track all guest concerns appropriately.
• Recognize and acknowledge repeat guests and VIPs.
• Offer personalized surprise and delight moments.
• Liaise with hotel departments including hosts, housekeeping, guest services, food and beverage, and engineering to coordinate services.
• Communicate guest requirements and preferences to relevant teams.
• Monitor public areas to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Respond to emergencies or incidents, involving security when necessary.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a luxury hotel role is preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize effectively.
• Work schedule varies and includes holidays and weekends.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 75 pounds, bending, and reaching.
