About the Role

Promotes clinic services to patients and external customers, including hospital discharge planners and referring physicians, to facilitate admissions and ensure patients are placed appropriately. Works with Patient Admissions Services to provide a superior admission experience and supports the company's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to and grows clinic patient census/treatment volume and improves commercial mix by providing superior customer service and admission support.
  • Builds, establishes, and maintains referral source relationships.
  • Conducts one-on-one contacts with patients to market services and facilitate admission.
  • Facilitates and coordinates the admission process for patients referred for Dialysis Services.
  • Collaborates with physicians and hospital staff to obtain information necessary for outpatient placement.
  • Escalates admissions issues and problems according to established procedures.
  • Works with clinical managers to accommodate shift requests.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of all insurers and private pay business, ensuring patients and families understand payer benefits.
  • Develops and maintains extensive knowledge of the dialysis business and support services.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of the local market and industry trends.
  • Conducts market analysis and develops, implements, and evaluates marketing plans.
  • Meets sales & marketing call objectives and maintains accurate account data.
  • Conducts professional sales presentations.
  • Participates in community outreach programs.
  • Determines referral source satisfaction with admissions process and dialysis services.
  • Collaborates with internal and external resources to provide renal education.
  • Reviews and complies with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable policies and procedures.
  • Assists with various projects as assigned.
  • Facilitates the placement of in-patient dialysis patients into the out-patient setting.
  • Collaborates with outpatient dialysis staff and hospital staff/partners to resolve placement issues.
  • Focuses on decreasing hospital length of stay by intervening early in the discharge process.
  • Facilitates and coordinates the provision of renal services for pre-ESRD and ESRD patients.
  • Conducts significant periods of standing and walking.
  • Potential for travel within the assigned geography/region, facilities, and community locations.

Requirements

  • Sales and/or account management experience highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Completion of and compliance with the Marketing and Business Development Functional Compliance Program.
  • Adheres to the FMCNA Compliance Program, including following all regulatory and FMS policy requirements.
  • Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of peers and management in a respectful and tactful manner.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
