About the Role
As an aerospace modeling and simulation (M&S) engineer, you will use your expertise to develop next-generation defense tools and technology. Your skills in M&S will be crucial in developing creative solutions that directly impact the warfighter, contributing to the direction of mission-critical solutions by evaluating, improving, and designing leading-edge aerospace technology. You will collaborate with a large community of aerospace solutions engineers and clients to deliver world-class solutions for designing, modeling, and simulating tactical next-generation broker services.
Responsibilities
- Develop next-generation defense tools and technology.
- Develop creative solutions that directly impact the warfighter.
- Provide expertise in evaluating new technologies.
- Perform risk assessments.
- Improve the design of aerospace systems.
- Evaluate, improve, and design leading-edge aerospace technology.
- Collaborate with engineers and clients to deliver world-class solutions.
- Design, model, and simulate a tactical next-generation broker service to specifications and performance requirements.
- Help the Air Force expand and improve their capabilities to share information across multiple sources at different enclaves.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with M&S, including in an academic environment.
- Experience with scenario development and performing analytical assessments of cross-domain or communications systems using Cameo and SysML.
- Experience with a variety of COTS and GOTS M&S and data science tools, including MATLAB, C++, Perl, or Python, to manipulate data between different formats and perform post-processing of data.
- Knowledge of cross-domain or communications systems, including aircraft and ground-based communications.
- Ability to apply operational analysis principles, theories, and concepts to execute study plans and analysis matrices.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
