About the Role

In this opportunity as a Manager, Sales Incentives Compensation, you will be responsible for designing, issuing, and communicating annual sales incentive plans to the Thomson Reuters sales organization. You will analyze, discuss, and evaluate incentive plans designed to motivate the sales organization in alignment with organizational goals. You will have daily interaction with business and sales leaders to evaluate plan effectiveness, design supplemental incentives (SPIFFs), and enforce sales policies. You will influence key Thomson Reuters initiatives including sales role design, sales reporting, and compensation calculations. You will have substantial exposure to sales and business leaders, and partner closely with Finance, HR, Sales Operations, and Quota/Territory teams. You will manage critical relationships across diverse team members with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, issue, and communicate annual sales incentive plans.
  • Analyze, discuss, and evaluate incentive plans to align sales motivation with organizational goals.
  • Engage in daily interaction with business and sales leaders to evaluate incentive plan effectiveness.
  • Design supplemental incentives (SPIFFs) and enforce sales policies.
  • Influence key Thomson Reuters initiatives including sales role design, sales reporting, and compensation calculations.
  • Manage critical relationships across diverse team members, often with competing priorities.

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of sales incentive plan structures with various types of designs and components.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to give difficult messages and analyze, present, describe, and defend decisions.
  • Ability to lead and coach other team members.
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with aligning to the big picture.
  • Strong analytical skills with a propensity towards data analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience leading multi-functional and geographic project teams.
  • Desire to gain detailed understanding of Thomson Reuters products in various business segments.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple stakeholders and deliver accurately within tight deadlines.
  • 7+ years’ experience designing and supporting sales incentive compensation.
  • Very strong Microsoft Office skills, with a focus on Excel.
  • Strong Smartsheet and Microsoft Forms skills.
  • Prior experience using Varicent and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Good sense of humor, empathy and the ability to work well under pressure.

Experience Level

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • MBA Preferred.

Salary/Compensations

  • $108,000 CAD - $158,000 CAD
