About the Role

Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group is seeking a Training and Documentation Manager to join their Vancouver-based Training and Documentation Team. This team provides essential services including training for new staff onboarding, maintaining procedure documentation, and coordinating staff movements within the Investment Resource Group. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys learning, and patiently supports new hires. CC&LFG values team spirit, camaraderie, and a culture of success in a challenging and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard new employees across all offices and provide application overviews.
  • Ensure new employees have access to appropriate software systems by completing pre-testing.
  • Maintain the staff onboarding checklist and coordinate staff movements, including onboarding, offboarding, and internal moves.
  • Maintain the IRG’s documentation model, including working with IRG Senior Managers, Managers and Staff to determine documentation needs.
  • Assist Staff with formatting, language, and structure of documents.
  • Create and review documentation process workflow diagrams.
  • Set deadlines for documentation completion and work with IRG Managers and Team Leaders to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate and maintain user access and perform an annual review for custodian/prime broker portals.
  • Maintain and update the Certificate of Authorized Signatories list for staff changes and perform an annual review.
  • Provide training to new staff based on team and role requirements.
  • Support Certificate of Authorized Signatories audit requests, including gathering documentation and coordinating responses.
  • Assist with IRG projects as required.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce (Finance preferred) or Economics.
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course or an equivalent would be an asset.
  • At least five years of related work experience in the finance/investment management industry is a definite asset.
  • Experience training and/or coaching staff is a definite asset, with the patience and flexibility to support individuals with varying levels of experience.
  • Aptitude to understand the big picture while being detail-oriented.
  • Proven ability to think logically, problem solve effectively, and prioritize competing tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure, dealing with changes and interruptions while maintaining strict deadlines.
  • Interest in learning about different aspects of the investment business.
  • Collaborative spirit and effective communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Proven ability to learn new systems quickly and use them effectively and efficiently.
