About the Role
This is a new role within the IT department, reporting to the Application Support Manager. The Application Support Analyst will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to business issues and serve as a subject matter expert for the company's application systems.
Responsibilities
- Apply advanced subject matter knowledge to business issues and be regarded as a subject matter expert of business’ application systems
- Investigate and troubleshoot application problems, liaising with business, vendors, and IT groups for timely resolution
- Contribute to the development of new ideas, methods, and processes for the supported business units
- Provide guidance to Business Analysts and other IT staff
- Provide support on merge back / TTS emulators
- Review different reports (test bookings, failed bookings, QA reports, etc.)
- Write and/or maintain application support documents
- Provide occasional after-hours support (including evenings & weekends) during implementations
- Provide some on-call support as required
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an application support role
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical support role
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- High level of personal energy and ability to maintain that activity level under conditions of time, pressure and stress
- Sensitivity to and skilled in satisfying customer needs and concerns
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal (this will involve communicating with business staff, management and executive teams as well as vendors)
- Very good knowledge of travel systems
