About the Role

As an SCM Consultant, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, operating, and continuously improving Service Configuration Management processes and capabilities across a multi-vendor environment. You will work closely with technical teams, service providers, and client stakeholders to ensure configuration data is accurate, governed, and enables effective service management outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, implementation, and operation of end-to-end Service Configuration Management processes.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable Configuration Item (CI) data and relationships within the CMDB.
  • Monitor and improve CMDB data quality, integrity, and compliance.
  • Support ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and related platform capabilities.
  • Assist with integration of configuration data from multiple sources & collaborate with platform teams to optimize CMDB performance & usability.

Requirements

  • Experience in IT Service Management, Configuration Management, CMDB, or related disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery.
  • Knowledge of Configuration Item (CI) modelling, service mapping, and relationship management.
  • Understanding of ITIL service management practices.
  • Experience supporting large and complex enterprise environments.
  • Australian Citizens with an active security clearance.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in shifts to provide continuous support.
  • Ability to be on call to address incidents promptly and perform after-hours deployment activities.
