About the Role

Bread Alone Driver Specialists are the critical link between the company and its customers, acting as experienced problem solvers adept at handling challenges with actionable solutions. This role requires effective communication, reliability, and a customer-focused approach, with drivers ensuring customer satisfaction and accuracy of deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction and accuracy of deliveries.
• Operate and care for delivery vans and trucks.
• Accurately deliver products.
• Manage delivery routes.
• Utilize driver sheets and route materials.
• Operate handhelds and tablets.
• Complete daily paperwork.
• Organize truck offloads.
• Follow correct procedures for safe and secure loading and unloading of trucks.
• Deliver all goods at assigned stops.
• Obtain electronic signature capture for invoicing and product delivery.
• Manage and adjust invoices for full-service accounts.
• Serve as a brand ambassador by establishing and maintaining professional customer relationships.
• Communicate and proactively manage any delivery errors or product shortages.
• Maintain cargo and cab area of assigned delivery vehicle according to company guidelines.
• Use nightly driver checklist consistently and correctly.
• Maintain fuel and DEF levels in vehicles according to company policy.
• Provide at least six hours of notice if unable to work a scheduled shift.
• Properly use company gas cards.
• Learn and operate telemetric fleet tracking and maintenance software.

Requirements

• Must have experience driving a 26 Ft Box Truck.
• Must have experience driving an overnight shift.
• Must have experience driving in local city routes.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience with loading and offloading delivery of Food and/or Beverage products.
• Must be familiar with obtaining electronic signature capture for invoicing and product delivery.
• Proactive time management skills to ensure customer expectations for timely delivery are met.
• Able to sit and drive for long periods of time while executing tasks quickly and accurately.
• Active driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to work in a physically demanding fast-paced environment.
• Able to work outside with frequent exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Able to communicate with precision both written and verbal.
• Comfortable with routinely shifting tasks.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and balance multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously.
• Able to learn and operate computer applications or other automated systems necessary to perform daily tasks.
• Respect for and comfort with a diverse and inclusive workplace.
• Able to pull, push, move and lift to waist level and carry awkward and shifting weights up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to follow all safety guidelines set out by Bread Alone.
• Willing to take responsibility for own and others' safety, follow safety rules and regulations, and report any unsafe conditions to management.
• Willing to work consistently throughout the year, including holidays and weekends, as the bakery is open 365 days a year.

• $24 to $26 per hour
• 7% shift differential for shifts between 6pm and 4:59am
