About the Role
Early Media is seeking a Creative Writer to develop original unscripted video concepts for kids and youth content. The ideal candidate understands YouTube dynamics and can transform raw ideas into compelling video concepts with strong hooks, clear stakes, and satisfying payoffs, ensuring they resonate with younger audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop original unscripted video concepts from initial idea through a ready-to-shoot story framework.
- Build the full creative package for each video, including title, theme, concept, hook, stakes, drama, progression, and payoff.
- Collaborate closely with producers to ensure concepts are ambitious, clear, and realistic for execution within timeline and budget.
- Maintain and update the creative bible, including formats, frameworks, and story templates.
Requirements
- Strong YouTube instincts, understanding what earns clicks, holds attention, and retains viewers.
- High productivity, capable of quickly generating strong, original concepts from various prompts.
- Ability to fully develop ideas and transform the strongest concept into a production-ready video.
- Experience writing for kids or family audiences, with a sense of what is fun, age-appropriate, and safe.
- Highly organized with the ability to structure, document, and track a fast-paced creative process.
