About the Role
CMI is looking for a Fixed Assets Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance Team. This role coordinates the inspection, repair, and replacement of equipment across recycling sites by working closely with site managers, procurement and inventory teams, and local contractors to plan, monitor, and close out service requests.
Responsibilities
- Review incoming service requests to define the scope of work.
- Work with site managers and contractors to conduct field walks to identify and document job requirements, equipment and parts requirements, and responsible parties.
- Identify site-specific safety hazards and implement controls to minimize risk.
- Establish and maintain a work schedule, forecasting hours, duration, and skills required.
- Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders to minimize disruption to operations.
- Rent or procure necessary equipment and specialized tools.
- Review and share engineering and OEM technical manuals, specifications, and drawings.
- Coordinate with management and operations to prioritize work with an emphasis on operations and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement by working with management and the fixed assets team to improve processes, reduce costs, and build a robust maintenance program.
- Initiate, track, and close out Purchase Requisitions for prompt payment.
- Recommend new innovations and systems to management to improve plant productivity by reducing equipment failures.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Maintenance Planning.
- Experience with CMMS, Microsoft Excel, and technical drawings.
