About the Role
This role involves reviewing financial statements, understanding hedge funds and private equity funds, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. You will also assist in training new team members and managing client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Review financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes, cash flows, schedule of investments and footnote disclosures.
- Understand hedge funds and private equity funds under administration (legal structure, investment objective, fee structure, etc.).
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements.
- Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, trainings, and professional development.
- Assist in the development and training of new team members.
- Coordinate and complete special projects as directed by client requests and management.
- Manage client expectations and oversee deliverable deadlines.
Requirements
- 2 – 5+ years’ relevant experience in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask, manage time, pay attention to detail, plan, and solve problems.
- Ability to communicate and interact professionally and effectively through written and oral communication with current and potential clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle/manage multiple team and individual priorities and deadlines.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles, methods, procedures, and internal controls with the ability to exercise good judgment in selecting and interpreting information.
- Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients’ business and maintain strong client relationships.
- Knowledge of Investran or other partnership accounting software is a plus.
