About the Role
A respiratory therapist provides assessment, treatment, and monitoring of cardiopulmonary disease across the continuum of care, functioning as part of an interdisciplinary team. They accurately assess patient conditions and communicate effectively with the care team regarding changes, study results, symptoms, and treatment responses.
Responsibilities
- Assessment, treatment, and monitoring of cardiopulmonary disease
- Functioning as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Coordinating and providing continuity of care in a financially responsible manner
- Quickly and accurately assessing a patient's condition
- Communicating effectively to the care team concerning about changes in patient's condition, results of diagnostic studies, symptomatology, and response to treatment
