About the Role

This role is the primary point of contact for Transportation Operations Corporate during non-business hours, responsible for error resolution, proactively tracking freight, OS&D resolution, and processing late orders via the TMS. This position is part of a rotating schedule with two other night team members.

Responsibilities

• Track loads to ensure on-time delivery and ensure late truck communication is sent to the appropriate team members.
• Work closely with the transportation team to ensure synergies are being recognized to reduce overall freight spend.
• Provide monthly reports to align with department KPIs.
• Responsible for “Over, Short and Damaged” product resolution under minimal supervision.
• Provide initial accident paperwork and communication.
• Work cross-functionally with warehouse operations, customer service, and/or QC to resolve issues.
• Vacation will be limited during the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas, the week after Christmas, and the last week of the fiscal year.
• Other functions as needed.

Requirements

• Demonstrates dependability due to transactional customer service required for this role.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills: ability to communicate with clarity and diplomacy with time-sensitive/challenging issues.
• Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft suite of products.
• Proven ability to initiate appropriate action independently.
• Proven ability to multitask with a high degree of accuracy.
• Knowledge of transportation processes to troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

• Blue Yonder Transportation Management System (TMS) experience
• Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) experience
• Motor carrier dispatch experience
• Knowledge of warehouse shipping processes
• Experience with order processing systems
• Strong organization skills
