About the Role
This role is the primary point of contact for Transportation Operations Corporate during non-business hours, responsible for error resolution, proactively tracking freight, OS&D resolution, and processing late orders via the TMS. This position is part of a rotating schedule with two other night team members.
Responsibilities
- Track loads to ensure on-time delivery and ensure late truck communication is sent to the appropriate team members.
- Work closely with the transportation team to ensure synergies are being recognized to reduce overall freight spend.
- Provide monthly reports to align with department KPIs.
- Responsible for “Over, Short and Damaged” product resolution under minimal supervision.
- Provide initial accident paperwork and communication.
- Work cross-functionally with warehouse operations, customer service, and/or QC to resolve issues.
- Vacation will be limited during the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas, the week after Christmas, and the last week of the fiscal year.
- Other functions as needed.
Requirements
- Demonstrates dependability due to transactional customer service required for this role.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills: ability to communicate with clarity and diplomacy with time-sensitive/challenging issues.
- Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft suite of products.
- Proven ability to initiate appropriate action independently.
- Proven ability to multitask with a high degree of accuracy.
- Knowledge of transportation processes to troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced environment.
Skills
- Blue Yonder Transportation Management System (TMS) experience
- Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) experience
- Motor carrier dispatch experience
- Knowledge of warehouse shipping processes
- Experience with order processing systems
- Strong organization skills
