About the Role

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for a Linehaul Dispatcher to plan, direct, and coordinate the movement of regional and national LTL shipments. This includes developing geographical-specific plans to ensure service standards are achieved economically, directing the use of Purchased Transportation and Intermodal, coordinating LCV lanes, and reducing partial and empty dispatches by managing freight flow and resources.

Responsibilities

Planning, directing, and coordinating the movement of regional and national LTL shipments.
Developing geographical-specific plans to ensure service standards are achieved in the most economical means possible.
Directing the use of Purchased Transportation and Intermodal.
Coordinating LCV lanes in geographical areas (when required).
Reducing partial and empty dispatches by managing freight flow and resources.

Requirements

Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Experience using PC, Database, and Mainframe applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of Windows, Outlook and other Microsoft products.

Salary/Compensations

$65,000 - $72,000
