About the Role

We are seeking a full-time experienced senior accountant to maintain the company’s accounting records, generate financial statements, and coordinate financial audits.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all accounting and record-keeping duties for Episcopal Community Housing, Inc. and its managed apartment complexes.
  • Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts.
  • Process accounts payable.
  • Record rent receipts.
  • Generate monthly financial statements for the respective Boards of Directors.
  • Coordinate annual audits of the apartment projects and fully engage with auditors.
  • File quarterly sales tax returns.
  • Work closely with managers of housing projects to record rent receipts and process payables timely and ensure accurate record keeping.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in accounting or five years of equivalent work experience is required.
  • Industry-specific experience is preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated and work independently.
  • Must possess strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
