About the Role

First-time parents in Brooklyn are seeking an experienced rotational nanny to care for their 7-month-old daughter. This role involves working opposite an existing nanny, providing care across two households, and ensuring consistency in routines and development. The ideal candidate will be calm, engaging, and supportive of the child's growth in a structured yet nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the infant.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious, developmentally appropriate meals, incorporating baby-led weaning principles.
  • Manage feeding schedules, naps, sleep routines, and the child’s daily schedule.
  • Support developmental milestones through engaging, age-appropriate activities and play.
  • Encourage a healthy balance of interaction, exploration, and independent play.
  • Prepare bottles and maintain sterilization and organization of feeding supplies.
  • Maintain the nursery and all child-related spaces.
  • Manage the child’s laundry, clothing, supplies, and organization.
  • Support developmental transitions, including solids, sleep routines, and mobility.
  • Anticipate the child’s needs and proactively manage supplies, schedules, and preparations.
  • Pack and prepare all child-related items for domestic and international travel.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with the parents and existing ROTA nanny.
  • Provide detailed, seamless handovers between rotations to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional nanny experience.
  • Strong knowledge of baby-led weaning, infant feeding, and age-appropriate nutrition.
  • Extensive infant experience and a strong understanding of infant-to-toddler developmental stages.
  • Experience working in private and/or UHNW households.
  • Previous ROTA experience strongly preferred.
  • Must currently be based locally in Brooklyn.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including occasional last-minute travel.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred for future needs.
  • Ability to swim.
  • Discreet, professional, and comfortable working within a private, high-profile household.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to an evolving schedule.
  • Willingness to sign an NDA.
