About the Role
The Strategic Revenue Manager (SRM) reports to the Strategic Revenue Director and serves as a key business partner for Sales, focusing on the delivery of key SRM pillars (promo, price, trade, mix) for the unit. This position leads the development of portfolio trade spend strategy for profitable growth with Customers and drives continuous trade investment productivity improvements and optimized Trade ROI through partnering with Customer Teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of trade investment budgets to deliver the overall business growth strategy by partnering with Sales Leaders, SRM Director, and Brand Leaders.
- Create the overall trade investment requirements for the business, split by Channel/Customer.
- Drive trade promotion productivity forward to deliver category value growth and win-win ROI for Mars and Customers.
- Lead the creation of market trade promotional strategy, development of annual trade promotional plans/recommended actions, and overall management of the local market trade promotional practice.
- Leverage SRM trade promotion excellence playbooks to build overall capabilities and partner with a cross-functional group.
- Analyze External and Internal Promotional Landscape on a periodic basis, including monitoring retail promotional landscape, conducting detailed promotional analysis, and tracking competitor promotional pricing.
- Conduct event-level Trade ROI analysis and effectively communicate insights and findings to SRM Director and Customer Teams.
- Consolidate and monitor compliance to promotional guidelines at account or budget holder level.
Requirements
- University degree.
- 5+ years of experience in a FMCG/other consumer goods company with a commercial background.
- Strong analytical skillset with experience partnering across the organization to analyze internal & external data sources, drawing out key insights and forming recommendations.
- Track record of successfully translating strategies into action and delivering results.
- Comfortable presenting to and engaging with senior leaders or strategic forums, simplifying complex concepts and strategies.
- Astute commercial and financial skills with excellent organization agility.
- Understanding of the impacts of decisions on the P&L.
- Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Strong influencing & problem-solving capabilities.
