About the Role

As a Partner Engineer on the Wearables team, you will help third-party developers create integrations with Meta's Wearables platforms, including smart glasses. This role is crucial for impacting the quality of experiences for AI glasses users by serving as the primary technical liaison between Meta and strategic partners. You will translate enthusiasm for wearable computing into support for new developers, communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences, and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

Inspire, educate, and engage early developers on opportunities in building for Meta's AI glasses portfolio.
Work directly with third-party developers to create engaging integrations for AI glasses and wearable devices.
Guide partners through the full technical integration lifecycle, including architecture review, launch, and post-launch optimization.
Develop expertise in and integrate with third-party applications and services.
Enhance the quality of platform integrations through user research and collaboration with design teams.
Create and maintain technical documentation, integration guides, and sample code for Meta's wearable SDKs and APIs.
Gather product feedback and translate partner needs into requirements for internal product and engineering teams.
Prototype potential future features to assess their value and complexity.
Represent Meta's wearable platform at developer events, partner summits, and technical workshops to promote ecosystem adoption.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in a partner-facing role (e.g., partner engineering, technical consulting, solutions engineering).
Experience writing production-grade code in a professional setting.
Experience with iOS or Android mobile development, or integrating with mobile, embedded, or wearable platforms.
Hands-on UX experience and a commitment to quality.
Experience with AI developer productivity tools (e.g., code generation, testing, debugging assistants).
Experience communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to work independently to solve technical problems, unblock partners, and deliver results with minimal guidance.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
