Responsibilities

  • Accountable for a high-performing network infrastructure company-wide, including planning and management of voice communications, advanced customer experience/contact center technologies, routing and switching, Software Defined Networking, WAN/LAN operations, business continuity, and cloud services.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to develop strategic and tactical solution plans for IT, focusing on future technology infrastructure.
  • Conduct strategic and tactical planning to develop technical roadmaps and ensure delivery of supportable technology solutions.
  • Partner with IT leadership to build and modernize organizational structure and business processes for digital growth.
  • Manage the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies such as cloud, software-defined networking, network security, remote access, load balancers, and collaboration tools.
  • Ensure cost-effective design, development, integration, implementation, testing, and maintenance of new services, equipment, and systems.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing network infrastructure engineering and operations team for reliable IT service delivery.
  • Build strong links between network teams and other functions to create multidisciplinary teams.
  • Drive a collaborative culture valuing technical depth, accountability, and customer service.
  • Establish, maintain, and execute operations procedures leveraging efficiencies and best practices.
  • Oversee service management activities including change and release management, testing, quality assurance, and end-to-end technical integration.
  • Oversee infrastructure investment direction in collaboration with team members, leadership, and partners.
  • Oversee cybersecurity protections on all network infrastructure resources according to established policies.
  • Drive the delivery of major technology and infrastructure projects and service management improvements to achieve quality, productivity, and ROI goals.
  • Implement and maintain controls and monitoring procedures to ensure availability of critical systems and minimize service interruptions.
  • Develop a vendor management process for products and services to optimize utilization, ensure a best-fit vendor mix, and achieve demonstrable savings.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in technology leadership positions with an emphasis on infrastructure services.
  • A strong technical background as a data and or voice network engineer.
  • 7-10 years of experience leading, directing, and controlling a complex, highly technical network operation or organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging technologies and the ability to apply them to business needs.
  • A track record of working collaboratively and productively with business partners.
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure, system architecture, technology life cycle management, cloud computing and operations, IaaS (public and private cloud), networking, storage, infrastructure and technology-based security practices, and application and infrastructure monitoring.
