About the Role
New Castle Building Products (NCBP) is seeking an Operations Manager for its Metals location in Hicksville, NY. This role involves overseeing a 30,000 SF manufacturing facility and managing the production workflow from scheduling to quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Schedule daily manufacturing work, ensuring machine utilization is optimized and production deadlines are met using MRP software.
- Manage shop floor personnel to meet individual productivity metrics.
- Review production paperwork for accuracy prior to releasing to the shop floor.
- Oversee CNC programming team.
- Communicate with customers, colleagues, and vendors regarding all aspects of the production workflow.
- Check and receive inbound materials.
- Check and coordinate delivery of outbound materials.
- Maintain production standards in accordance with the Quality Assurance Policy.
- Perform intermittent and final quality checks.
- Maintain a culture of Safety, adhering to NCM Safety Policies.
- Assist in troubleshooting of machinery and coordinate external vendors/manufacturers repair teams as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a can do, customer service first attitude.
- Ability to navigate digital MRP systems.
- Experience in the architectural, construction, or design industry.
- Familiarity with CAD programs.
- Familiarity with automation and integrated machinery.
