About the Role

The primary responsibility of the Retail Associate is to provide excellent customer service and share knowledge and recommendations. Duties include assisting customers, processing transactions, driving sales, merchandising, and stocking shelves. Additional tasks include store maintenance and ensuring adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure merchandise presentations and stock levels are appropriate, maintaining current and proper signing.
• Uphold store cleanliness, including fixtures, shelves, baskets, backroom, and floor according to company policy.
• Manage cash, inventory, and handle store opening and closing procedures.
• Assist management in marketing, customer relations, and daily operations.
• Operate cash register, accept payment, make change, provide receipts, and bag merchandise.
• Use POS system to enter customer information.
• Foster a pleasant work environment for all associates.
• Stock and face shelves, retrieving back/top stock as needed. Verify and correct all pricing, shelf tags, and dates.
• Be familiar with all products, their general use, and location in the store.
• Perform light store maintenance as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior retail experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Ability to provide flexibility with week-to-week scheduling.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and perform stocking tasks.
• Ability to work and communicate as a team player.
• Ability to stay productive and multi-task.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
• Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment.
• Must be able to successfully clear drug screening processes, which include testing for all illegal substances per Federal Guidelines.

Skills

• Vitamin and/or nutrition knowledge is a plus.
