About the Role
Patene Building Supplies Ltd. is seeking a Delivery Truck Driver (DZ - Boom/Moffett Operator) to make deliveries to customer job sites for their London branch.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily circle check reports and maintain company vehicle, including general maintenance and cleanliness.
- Verify loads and paperwork, ensuring proper loading, tarping, and strapping of materials.
- Complete all daily MTO paperwork requirements.
- Perform safe and timely deliveries and pick-ups of materials.
- Participate in loading and unloading materials by repetitive lifting or using a boom truck.
- Provide directives to helpers on site.
- Offer professional and courteous service to customers and sub-trades.
- Report damaged or missing materials or equipment.
- Adhere to company's Health & Safety policies and regulations.
- Abide by all rules and laws of the road.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School diploma required.
- Valid Driver's License (Class D) with Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
- Standard Transmission experience is mandatory.
- Working at Heights Certificate is a benefit.
- Boom or Moffett experience preferred; training available for the right candidate.
- Valid Driver's abstract and good CVOR required.
- 1-2 years of related experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Must be dependable and a team player.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, and customers (verbal and written).
