About the Role
This entry-level Research Associate I position offers the opportunity to work across Analytics and Protein Science teams, gaining hands-on experience in protein development, purification, and analysis within a precision fermentation environment.
Responsibilities
- Generate data through basic biochemistry/molecular biology techniques.
- Operate and maintain analytical equipment.
- Support protein characterization workflows through lab-scale protein powder generation.
- Prepare samples, reagents, and buffers to support cross-functional experiments.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers across teams to troubleshoot and iterate.
- Present results to the technology organization in regular meetings.
- Maintain lab organization, cleanliness, and proper documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Some hands-on lab experience (academic, internship, or industry).
- Familiarity with analytical instrumentation.
- Detail-oriented mindset exemplified in experiment note-taking, report writing, and communication.
- Comfortable with basic wet lab techniques and eager to learn new ones.
- Collaborative, organized, and enthusiastic about working across teams.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
- Not able to sponsor individuals for employment visas.
