About the Role

Marsh Risk is seeking a leader to spearhead the development of its Renewables Practice within the Corporate and Commercial client segment. This role focuses on delivering excellent client service to existing clients and expanding the new client portfolio across the UK. It involves close collaboration with senior leadership and the Power and Energy team to execute growth strategies, champion client initiatives, and foster a growth-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

  • Build, develop, and maintain relationships with renewables clients, prospects, insurers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Deliver excellent client outcomes supported by industry insights to drive retention and growth.
  • Lead the expansion of regional hubs and specialisms across the UK.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in the maintenance and development of Renewables client facilities.
  • Serve as the profile leader for the Renewables Practice with clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead by example, setting high standards for quality, compliance, and ethical behavior.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of renewables-focused colleagues.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute the C&C Renewables growth strategy, ensuring delivery against budgets and targets.
  • Forecast, measure, and analyze practice performance data to identify trends and enhance client delivery.
  • Support practice development initiatives including strategic prospecting, value proposition development, and relationship management.
  • Partner with P&L stakeholders to implement growth plans and maximize sales capacity.
  • Accelerate collaboration across other Marsh businesses.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive and operational stakeholders across the region.
  • Work within Marsh’s compliance procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in the Power and Energy / Renewables insurance market.
  • Client service excellence and a flair for delivering great client outcomes.
  • Natural leadership abilities with impeccable communication skills focused on efficiency and clarity.
  • Strong technical competency combined with client and prospect engagement skills.
  • Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate.
  • Detail-oriented, strategic thinker with analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Highly organized and comfortable creating structure, presentations, and workflows.
  • Ability to drive change and constructively challenge for change management.
