About the Role
The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Officer plans, develops, promotes, coordinates, implements, and maintains on-campus and off-campus internship/placements for assigned programs within the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences. This role ensures experiential learning opportunities meet curricular requirements and support student learning journeys, while collaborating with faculty and program coordinators to prepare and support students in meaningful work-integrated learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Plans, develops, promotes, coordinates, implements, and maintains on-campus and off-campus internship/placements for assigned programs.
- Ensures experiential learning opportunities meet program curricular requirements.
- Supports students in their learning journey.
- Works with Program Coordinators, Program Managers, and Faculty to ensure learners are prepared and supported.
- Monitors internship/placement progress.
Requirements
- Three-year college diploma or University Degree in Health Sciences, Human Resources, or an associated program cluster.
- Five years of industry experience in Biomedical Science and Health Regulation sectors.
- Experience in database management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organization and project management skills.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
- Ability to use technology effectively.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills including database management, Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, and Internet applications.
