About the Role
Create a gospel-centered, loving environment for middle and high school students, focusing on discipling and counseling female students. This includes teaching, engaging middle school girls, and participating in various group activities and events.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and teach the Sunday school lesson to middle school girls.
- Participate in high school discussions and discipleship activities.
- Review lessons and make necessary preparations for teaching prior to Sunday.
- Guide volunteers during transitions and activities.
- Attend weekly Staff & Volunteer meetings each Sunday at 9am.
- Spearhead classroom set-up for the middle school girls classroom.
- Teach lessons in a gospel-centered and Biblical way.
- Spearhead classroom breakdown and finish clean up and organization of supplies.
- Help plan, organize, and run youth group games and other activities.
- Attend monthly high school Friday night dinners.
- Meet up and mentor students outside of regular activities.
- Attend weekend youth retreats.
Requirements
- Must be available on Sundays from 9AM to 2:30PM.
- Arrive on time each Sunday.
- Attend mandatory training sessions each year.
- Give at least 2 weeks notice prior to being absent.
- Notify supervisor as soon as possible if ill.
- No more than 6 absences per year (including sick days).
- Must pass RDT’s background check and reference check.
