About the Role
Building AI agents that can assist with enterprise work involves realistically replicating work environments, filling them with tasks, creating plausible input data, and defining clear rewards. In this role, you will create these reinforcement learning (RL) environments, run AI agents within them, and iteratively improve both agents and environments based on customer feedback.
Responsibilities
- Build new RL environments targeting different agentic capabilities and industry areas
- Train and evaluate agents in those environments
- Ensure tasks, data, tool implementations, and verifiers work together seamlessly
- Collaborate with modeling and product teams to identify agent performance gaps and enhance agents and environments
- Partner with external vendors to create high-quality, expert-built RL environments
- Develop tools to ensure high quality for tasks, data, and verifiers
- Automate the discovery of model capability gaps
- Systematically measure agent performance during evaluations and training
Requirements
- Engineered agents and optimized them for specific industry use cases
- Spent significant time reviewing agent trajectories to identify and fix failure points through model training or harness engineering
- Obsessed with measuring agentic capabilities and establishing repeatable processes for it
- Engaged in debates about ideal AI agent outcomes and translated them into verifier implementations and tuned reward designs
- Designed and executed annotation workflows to gain insights into agent performance and verify data quality
- Built synthetic data pipelines to scale evaluation and training efforts
- Utilized agents in daily work and improved setups for significant productivity gains
