About the Role

This executive will build and lead the company’s global compliance function, helping shape the governance, infrastructure, and compliance strategy needed to support continued global growth and a potential IPO.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and further develop the company’s global compliance function, creating a more unified and scalable approach across regional teams in the U.S., EMEA, and APAC.
  • Manage and develop a global team of approximately six compliance professionals while building a more consistent, scalable, and collaborative compliance function across multiple regions.
  • Partner closely with the Chief Legal & Risk Officer, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams, including Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, People, Product, Engineering, and Operations, to identify and address compliance risks while supporting business objectives.
  • Partner with the Chief Legal & Risk Officer to help drive IPO and public-company readiness, including governance, internal controls, audit readiness, whistleblower and anti-bribery compliance programs, reporting, and related compliance processes.
  • Build and continuously enhance global compliance policies, procedures, governance, monitoring, and reporting frameworks that support a rapidly growing international business.
  • Oversee enterprise compliance across a broad and evolving regulatory landscape, partnering with regional subject-matter experts to ensure consistency while addressing local requirements.
  • Establish meaningful compliance metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms that provide senior leadership with visibility into program effectiveness, internal controls, remediation efforts, and emerging risks.
  • Lead significant compliance investigations and remediation efforts while implementing scalable compliance processes and technology that improve visibility, consistency, and operational effectiveness across the organization.
  • Monitor emerging regulatory developments and partner with business leaders to implement practical compliance solutions that support continued global growth.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
  • Approximately 15+ years of legal and compliance experience, including significant leadership responsibility within a complex, highly regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated success building or transforming a global compliance program, including governance, reporting, internal controls, investigations, audit readiness, and enterprise compliance initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing geographically dispersed teams and driving consistency across global compliance organizations.
  • Comfort leveraging compliance technology, reporting tools, and automation to improve program effectiveness and scalability.
  • Excellent judgment, executive presence, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex compliance issues into practical, business-oriented advice.
  • A pragmatic, commercially minded approach to risk and a collaborative style that emphasizes finding solutions while supporting business growth.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where leaders are expected to build infrastructure, embrace change, and partner closely with the business.
  • Prior in-house experience, along with a combination of law firm and in-house practice, is preferred.
