About the Role
Link Home Therapy is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist (OT), Physical Therapist (PT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve as a Lead Therapist at an assisted living facility. This role oversees the daily clinical operations of the onsite therapy team and offers a significant opportunity for career growth and development of managerial skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop caseloads for all disciplines (OT/PT/ST).
- Provide staff oversight, scheduling, and patient scheduling.
- Build and maintain relationships with center management.
- Ensure the therapy team upholds the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
- Assist with retrieving scripts and doctor's orders as requested.
- Complete evaluations, daily notes, weekly progress notes, recertifications, and discharge documentation in a timely manner, adhering to CMS guidelines and license allowances.
- Establish and administer treatment programs with specific goals based on patient capacity and tolerance, under physician direction and within license allowances.
- Supervise assistants as requested.
- Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered treatment and care.
- Adhere to scheduled hours.
- Demonstrate professionalism at all times.
Requirements
- Possess a valid Virginia state license to practice Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
- Hold state certifications as required.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with staff, patients, families, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities, including inspiring and managing a team, conflict resolution, and strategic decision-making.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment, and treatment techniques.
- Exhibit strong organizational and time-management skills.
