About the Role
Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates patient care activities for a medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival, communicating pleasantly and effectively.
- Ensures accuracy of patient information, including demographics and insurance.
- Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, and assures accurate communication via verbal and EMR systems.
- Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
- Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols.
- Monitors applications and manages worklists as applicable.
- Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
- Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
- Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Maintains and models the organization's values.
- Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Ability to travel between practices as needed.
- Some manual skills/motor coordination & finger dexterity required.
- Medium to Heavy physical effort; may exert up to 35 lbs. force.
Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred
- Data Entry
- Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal)
