About the Role
As an IT Audit Manager, you will join a dynamic, highly motivated technology team responsible for managing all internal and external audit work across Sky Data, ensuring timely addressing of queries and provision of evidence. You will track audit findings to closure, perform weekly control activities, and conduct independent assurance reviews to Sky standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage all Internal and External audit work performed across Sky Data ensuring that all queries raised are addressed and evidence requested is provided in a timely manner
- Track all audit findings raised and ensure that updates and evidence is provided to the relevant auditors until the findings have been closed
- Carry out control activity on a weekly basis and raising any issues required as a result of this work
- Conduct assurance review work independently to standards within Sky
- Advise on the implementation of appropriate IT General Controls across Sky Data
- Advise on appropriate controls to be implemented for key spreadsheets used across Sky Data
- Advise on appropriate controls to be implemented to satisfy IPE requirements
- Identify risks across Sky Data and advise on the appropriate risk management measures that should be implemented
- Lead functional teams or projects and provide guidance to resolve data assurance issues as required
Requirements
- Extensive experience in managing IT Audits, technology and operational Risks, Controls, and Technology Assurance activities
- Proven track record of designing, implementing, testing and monitoring control environments and driving practical improvements / mitigation strategies
- Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Senior Accounting Officer (SAO), Payment Card Industry (PCI), data & information governance
- Awareness of relevant UK / EU regulatory and compliance requirements
- Ability to manage audits or process improvements end-to-end, proactively identifying control weaknesses or risks along the way and embedding lessons learned into future workstreams
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to exercise sound professional judgement in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to prioritise workloads, manage competing deadlines, whilst maintaining high quality outputs and strong attention to detail
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation
- Experience preparing clear, evidence-based updates for senior stakeholders or audit/risk meetings, with the ability to summarise complex issues, highlight key risks and clearly articulate ownership, progress, blockers and next steps
- Experience managing, coaching and developing team members, with the ability to set direction, clarify priorities, review the quality of outputs and provide constructive feedback
