About the Role

This 12-month Fixed Term Contract role for Marketing Program Manager, Sky Media, involves translating departmental commercial objectives into marketing plans and delivering them through internal capabilities. Responsibilities

  • Act as the marketing lead for the aligned department(s), participating in commercial priority setting.
  • Understand the department's revenue targets, SME clients, competitive pressures, and sales cycle.
  • Communicate marketing's delivery capabilities honestly and proactively manage expectations.
  • Develop a year-long marketing program with clear commercial purpose, calendar, budget, and deliverables.
  • Plan within the capacity model, treating un-checked plans as drafts.
  • Sequence activities to spread peaks throughout the year.
  • Re-scope the program quarterly against capacity and commercial priorities.
  • Write clear briefs for specialists to act upon without further meetings.
  • Define capability requirements and accept allocation decisions.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to maintain visibility of the critical path and flag slippage.
  • Agree on program contribution measurement methods before commencement.
  • Report progress and results consistently to the department and marketing function.
  • Discontinue underperforming activities.
  • Share successful strategies with other Program Managers.

Requirements

  • Experience owning a demand/lead generation marketing plan or program end-to-end.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering through indirect reports.
  • Strong stakeholder management with senior commercial audiences, including the ability to decline requests while maintaining relationships.
  • Commercial literacy, including comfort with revenue targets, pipeline, and departmental revenue mechanics.
  • Excellent briefing and written communication skills.
  • Planning discipline to create plans that account for capacity constraints.
  • Experience in media, broadcast, advertising sales, or a media agency (desirable).
  • Understanding of targeting SMEs new to TV advertising (desirable).
  • Experience with matrix or shared-service marketing models (desirable).
  • Appropriate right to work in the UK.
  • Must not require sponsorship.
