About the Role

This 12-month Fixed Term Contract role involves owning Sky Media's editorial voice as an 'in-house journalist'. You will transform audience data, effectiveness evidence, and market understanding into thought leadership, insight reports, case studies, and narratives to promote Sky Media's offerings. You will collaborate with Marketing Program Managers to ensure timely and effective content delivery aligned with objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Help deliver the Sky Media editorial strategy through written content.
  • Establish and enforce tone of voice and editorial standards across all written Marketing content.
  • Maintain a rolling content plan that serves multiple marketing programs and holds a coherent narrative.
  • Write and edit thought leadership, insight reports, case studies, narratives, award entries, scripts, event content, and executive communications.
  • Work with insight and research teams to turn data into narratives.
  • Commission, brief, and edit external writers (PR agency) and uphold their delivery standards.
  • Collaborate with multiple Marketing Program Leads to deliver the content element of their plans.
  • Work with a Digital Manager on distribution, search performance, and content performance data.
  • Partner with Creative Directors to ensure written and visual output are conceived cohesively.
  • Build relationships with external PR agencies to support their workstreams and identify opportunities.
  • Work with a Project Manager to manage capacity, volume, and flag issues in advance.

Requirements

  • Strong editorial and writing experience in a business-to-business, media, or journalistic environment, with a portfolio.
  • Media, advertising, or adtech sector knowledge.
  • Exceptional accuracy and self-editing skills.
  • Ability to transform data and research into a genuine argument with a point of view.
  • Experience owning a content plan across multiple audiences and channels.
  • Commissioning and editing experience with external writers or agencies.
  • Experience with thought leadership or research-led content programs.
  • Understanding of search and content performance measurement.
  • Experience working alongside a PR agency on a shared narrative.
  • Appropriate right to work in the UK.
  • Must not require sponsorship for this position.
