About the Role
The Spice Tech ensures that products meet customer and company specifications while complying with regulatory standards for quality and food safety, primarily through on-the-floor processes.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and delivery of seasoning to various production areas.
- Ensuring all products and processes in assigned departments conform to company specifications, regulatory standards, and process guidelines.
- Utilizing SAP for accurate seasoning inventory management, including rotation tracking, transfers, and reconciliation notifications.
- Identifying problems and initiating corrective actions for materials, products, or processes not meeting acceptable standards during pre-operational and operational auditing and brine system operation and monitoring.
- Cross-training in other QA functions as needed.
- Completing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to work third shift (9pm-5am) and occasional weekend coverage is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to endure non-weather related wet and cold environment (35 degrees).
- Must be able to endure non-weather related hot and humid environment (100 degrees).
- Must be able to climb stairs occasionally.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, and walk constantly.
- Must be able to sit for sustained periods of time frequently.
- Must be able to wear protective clothing (hard hat, glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes) constantly.
- Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8-point policy (on application date).
- No written warning in the past six (6) months.
- No suspension on record for the last 12 months.

Experience Level

- At least 18 months of continuous work experience with a single employer within the last 18 months is preferred.
- Twelve months of related experience/training in food manufacturing preferred.
Education Level
- High School diploma or GED equivalency is strongly preferred.
