About the Role
Provide a high level of customer service by assisting both internal and external customers, primarily face-to-face, supporting their branch and rental needs. Gain knowledge through local training and hands-on experience to provide administrative support, service customers, and act as a rental back-up in a non-airport branch location.
Responsibilities
- Greet all customers using prescribed, appropriate dialogue as they arrive on the lot.
- Remind customers to check for personal belongings and turn in found items.
- Advise and review rental charges and provide accurate receipts.
- Inquire about service and satisfaction, and document dissatisfaction.
- Check vehicles for damage on incoming vehicles and direct customers to the counter for damage/loss reports.
- Determine if vehicles are returned with a full tank of gas.
- Complete service alerts for any mechanical or body damage communicated by customers.
- Identify and verify movement of vehicles on system hold for turnback, time or mileage, recall, or other special locks.
- Identify and tag vehicles flagged for grounding or preventative maintenance and verify their movement.
- Keep the lot organized for ease of access and traffic flow.
- Understand the CDW/Emerald Aisle/Choice process, rental/return documents, fuel services, days/extra hours/surcharges, and optional coverages.
- Understand the damage loss report reporting procedure.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have at least 2 years of college and/or customer service experience combined.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted U.S. driver's license.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship.
- Must be living within a reasonable commute of no more than 1 hour to the location(s) within 30 days of the anticipated start date.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Must be able to work 25 hours/week including Saturdays (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM) and Sundays (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM), apart from religious observation.
