About the Role

We are seeking a leader to drive sustainable improvement in in-store space productivity by delivering high-return, easy-to-execute planograms that increase sales and profitability. This role focuses on enabling improved store execution and activation, leading to sales and margin increases while enhancing the overall customer experience. You will lead a team of Space Planning Specialists to deliver timely, accurate, and visually appealing planograms and out-of-department visual presentation programs, while also committing to developing your team members through clear objectives and ongoing coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ongoing and effective utilization of space in-store, in support of merchandising strategic priorities, store, market and customer insights.
  • Create retail floor plans that accurately translate Line of Business priorities with factual space allocation and planogram placement.
  • Drive sales and margin planogram productivity across the organization to ensure linear resources are appropriately allocated and optimized.
  • Manage a team of Space Planning Specialists to deliver timely, accurate and visually appealing planograms and out of department visual presentation programs supporting new Concept stores and Private Label Brands.
  • Leverage various internal groups and committees such as Physical Store to obtain feedback on programs including conducting post mortems with the Category teams.
  • Ensure Retail City CTR lab store is well merchandised and kept up to date with our latest assortments.
  • Sign-off on all planograms to ensure all financial and operational metrics, as well as visual merchandising standards are met.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership track record of team development, communication skills, ability to multi-task and exceed in a highly results-focused environment.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in developing innovative Retail Merchandising and Visual Presentation programs.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable plans.
  • Superior organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Agile and innovative individuals, able to manage in an environment of change and ambiguity.
  • Creative thinkers who take initiative and are capable of building, launching and managing projects/programs that drive results for our customers.

Salary/Compensations

  • Broadband Salary Range: $64,000 – $106,000 CAD
  • Our typical hiring range is between $65,000 and $75,000.
