About the Role

FreeWheel is seeking a Product Manager to support and deliver a market-informed roadmap and strategy for buy-side capabilities, focusing on core ad serving application functionalities within the Buyer Cloud platform. This role is crucial for enhancing our position as the premier platform for buying Connected TV (CTV) advertising.

Responsibilities

  • Support the conception, design, and implementation of capabilities for buying CTV advertising, with an emphasis on ad serving, filtering, and targeting.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to guide products through launch and beyond.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to drive high-quality decisions and outcomes.
  • Showcase product launches through release trainings, client emails, and company webinars.
  • Analyze product management activities, define product concepts, and justify expenditures.
  • Assist other product managers with complex problems and project initiatives.
  • Manage profit and loss or budgetary aspects for assigned products.
  • Evaluate market trends, consumer needs, and technological advancements to inform product strategy.
  • Develop detailed product features, requirements, and implementation plans, prioritizing based on market needs.
  • Envision new product features through participation in cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and strategic partners for timely, on-budget delivery.
  • Review and adjust pricing strategies for market competitiveness and profitability.
  • Conduct periodic margin analyses for product improvement and cost optimization.
  • Ensure seamless coordination among cross-functional teams for product launch and lifecycle objectives.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
  • Maintain consistent and punctual attendance, with availability for nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Understand and apply Operating Principles.
  • Own the customer experience, prioritizing seamless digital options and customer advocacy.
  • Be an enthusiastic learner, user, and advocate of company technology, products, and services.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to achieve significant results.
  • Participate in the Net Promoter System to incorporate customer and employee feedback.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of product management experience, ideally on the buy-side of advertising products.
  • Familiarity with and interest in building and scaling a Demand Side Platform (DSP).
  • Some exposure to Connected TV and television advertising, or real-time bidding platforms, is a plus.
  • Strong ability to understand customer needs and translate them into product requirements.
  • Experience working directly with engineering stakeholders.
  • Growing track record of taking product initiatives through the full lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adjust communication style based on audience.
