About the Role
As a Software Engineer at Verily, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing products focused on precision health. The Consumer Health Systems team develops data integrations, processes, and displays patient information, aiming to deliver personalized experiences and bridge care delivery and clinical research.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver new full-stack software features across a range of Verily products.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify dependencies, coordinate delivery, communicate design decisions, and define requirements.
- Propose solutions to technical design problems by comparing options.
- Develop using industry-standard tools including GitHub, Google Cloud, Go, React, and Terraform.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer in an industry setting.
- 3+ years of experience with React.
- Expertise in building software and systems on GCP, AWS, or Azure (GCP preferred).
- Demonstrated experience with Go, TypeScript, and/or SQL.
- Experience with designing and implementing scalable data processing pipelines with BigQuery or other analytics-oriented databases.
- Education or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
