About the Role

Join the Prepared Foods Division at Tyson Foods as a Production Supervisor, where you will maintain high production, quality, and yields while ensuring a safe working environment. This role requires an understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, retain, and counsel team members, educating them on benefits, compensation, and company policies.
  • Guide the team in stretches before their shift and rotate workstations throughout the shift.
  • Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders, accurate shipments, record keeping, inventory rotation, and proper product coding.
  • Ensure all workstations on the line are staffed before production start-up.
  • Verify that all machinery is performing correctly and all workstations have passed USDA Inspection.
  • Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
  • Oversee various processing operations and collaborate with other supervisors to solve problems.
  • Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma; additional vocational or college courses preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or sanitation preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • SAP experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Some travel is required for this role, potentially to other facilities or corporate.
  • Knowledge of food industry processes and equipment is preferred.
  • Understanding of financial indicators/analysis is preferred.
  • Experience in budget development/management is preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
