About the Role
As a Service Associate, you will be responsible for collecting single-use devices at hospitals within your designated territory. This role offers ground-floor experience of our business and focuses on building strong customer relationships and increasing device collections.
Responsibilities
- Collecting single-use devices at hospitals within the designated territory.
- Visiting all areas of the hospital, including operating rooms, patient floors, patient rooms, Electrophysiology, and Cath labs.
- Engaging with hospital staff, OR personnel, Supply Chain, EVS, Sales Reps, O.R. Management, facility champions, Hospital Administration, and other Stryker employees, stakeholders, and partners.
- Providing optimal customer service, training, and education on bins and collectable devices.
- Partnering with supervisors and sales representatives to build customer relationships and increase single-use device collections.
- Participating in a positive culture and respectful workplace through weekly huddles, annual team meetings, and administrative communication.
- Adhering to all policies and procedures in the sales code of conduct and Stryker Employee Handbook.
- Performing field-based relationship building with customers.
- Conducting educational in-servicing.
- Completing administrative expectations including receipt growth reporting and collection tracking.
Requirements
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license and appropriate insurance.
- Use of a personal vehicle for daily travel (80-100 miles/day).
- Ability to obtain and maintain needed credentials at all hospitals within the assigned territory.
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
- Near visual acuity (corrected), color vision, mobility, bending, standing, stooping, and finger dexterity.
- Effective communication skills through presentations, email, and phone.
- Ability to use common office equipment (PC, Microsoft Office, smartphone, etc.).
- Ability to exert up to 60 pounds of force daily and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to push and/or pull up to 60 pounds of force constantly.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
